Duct smoke and air leakage test

Duct smoke and air leakage test

A duct pressurization test is used to evaluate the leakage of an HVAC system, including the ducts and air handler unit cabinets. A pressurization fan is used to temporarily pressurize/depressurize the taped-off duct system to a reference pressure and air flow is calculated. This test gives us an indication of the leakage characteristics of the duct system and also the flow balance.

Previously invisible leaks can be easily identified as the smoke finds its way through any breaches in the duct system.

Our difference

Cornerstone works with industry approved standards to calculate duct losses and help our client save energy and cut unnecessary maintenance costs.

Our value proposition

  1. Easily identify previous invisible leaks
  2. Maintain airflow rates within the ducts
  3. Improve overall AC system performance
